NASH FOM JOE

At the age of 18, i was closer to actualising my dream as an accountant with the help of my only parent alive but on the 27th November 2008, insurgent extremist triggered a bomb in the city of Jos Nigeria that killed many including my father. As the first born of five children, i suddenly became the bread winner with no choice of my own

Filled with an overwhelming sense of loss and helplessness, we were left to fate to fend for ourselves in this cruel world.; my dream became nothing but a castle in the air. Sam Amaga Foundation came into my life like the bright sun restoring my hope. I was greatly helped to actualise my dream as a graduate of accountancy and now working as an accountant who is soon to graduate with a masters degree.

PERE-ERE SONIA

When I was seven years old, my father died from a lung disease. My mother was left alone but raised my siblings and mw with various financial difficulties. Sadly, on the 14th of march 2017, she died in my arms from kidney failure. I was devastated and heart broken because her death snatched all my hopes away, with no one to care for my siblings and me. We were thrown out by the landlord especially because my mum had not been able to cover the rent for 2 years prior to her demise

Thank God for Foundation Faith Church (Salem Family) at Ekeki in Bayelsa state Nigeria. They took over paying our rent. I was eventually recommended to Sam Amaga Foundation who restored my hope by giving me a scholarship at the University. Today, I am a graduate.

EMMANUEL LOHFA

On the 25th of September 2008, around 6am, the neighbourhood in Jos Nigeria where i lived was alerted by people screaming "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE." Unfortunately, my father was caught by extremist insurgents who at this point were burning the neighbourhood down. As my father was caught, he was practically mutilated as i watched from afar. I tried running to his side but people around held me down. When it was safe to return, we only found his burnt remains. I was devastated, became suicidal and lost the reason to live with no hope for life

Fortunately, I was recommended to Sam Amaga Foundation who took me through intense counselling and gave me scholarship to the university. Now I am a graduate and a Masters degree holder. My heart is consoled and my hope is restored.
