OUR HISTORY
From the Start
Sam Amaga foundation was founded in 1992 with the soul aim of giving orphans a help, a hope and a future. We have seen many orphans and needy children lured into immorality, cultism and other criminal lifestyle while striving to survive in the society all by themselves.
That is why Sam Amaga Foundation was founded - to snatch as many vulnerable orphans as God will bring our way from the jaw of immorality, cultism and other social vices.
Considering the alarming rate of social vices in the society, rising from banditory to moral deterioration, living the debris of vulnerable orphans behind; we foresee imminent danger, we foresee a society without the future of the leaders, hence the need for a proactive measure to forestall these social menace and looming danger.
Sam Amaga Foundation desires strongly to be part of building a society with refined human resources, future leaders who are change agents. We believe that someday, we would wake up to see a society where every youth is working with positive mentality and a society where social vices will be a taboo and a myth.
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Living in a society where evil is on the increase and crime has come to stay, the less privileged such as the orphans, are left with no option than to embrace hopelessness. We have seen so much tears flow from the faces of those orphans who are left behind by parents. With no help or hope, they are lost to poverty, predators, insurgence, prostitution, drugs, forced marriages drowning in the see of wickedness and injustice; no shield, no shelter, no hope.
Our Vision at Sam Amaga Foundation is to be a father to the fatherless. The foundation provides a loving and caring environment where orphans are given intense counselling from their traumatic experiences in addition to training them through the university and much more. Sam Amaga Foundation has trained, is training and desires to train more with your help. BE A PART OF THEIR STORY.
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

We have seen enough tears flow from the faces of these orphans who are left behind by departed parents. And most often without a plan for their future. This creates hopelessness and that's why we need your help.
You can be part of wiping away their tears. That is what Sam Amaga Foundation is doing by sponsoring them through the university

We are helping these orphans bring healing to their hearts, hope to their desperately confused faces, gazing hopelessly and not sure of what the future brings for them.

We have seen joy in the faces of those we have helped pay their school fee in the university as they matriculate. Some tell us they never imagined themselves matriculating in a university's academic gown
We do this because we share in their joy of seeing a ray of hope, a helping hand and of embracing a future they have never dreamt of.

We have seen dark faces lit up with joy, we have seen smiles replacing gloom; joy replacing frustration and desperation as we send many of these orphans to the university.
